Painted in 1976, Art in the Park shows Blowing Rock, North
Carolina, when the art festival was in the uptown park. It was first
painted on masonite and has been reproduced in all of its marvelous detail on
canvas. The piece took 6 months for Robert to complete. Robert considers
it his masterpiece.
Note From the Webmaster:
The above image does not begin to do justice to this magnificent work of
art. I have seen it personally and was totally mesmerized by the great
detail. I recall staring at it for a space of time, half expecting to see
the people move. If ever there was a work of art that invites the viewer
to walk right in, this is it.
